CRM Account Filter out the list of accounts based on accounts, related opportunity or account owner’s attributes. Later on, leads and contacts are matched against the Account qualified with CRM Account Filter and are routed/segmented accordingly.
When “Smart Account Attributes” are used, the other possible variations are matched as well. Example, the USA = United States = US. However, this may slow down the filter calculation should be used only when your data contains multiple variations.
While creating Routing Territory and Lead Segment, approved Account Status can be used in the canvas. Leads matched against the accounts in Account Status are filtered in these Routing Territories and Lead Segment.
Multiple Approved CRM Account Filter can be used in the routing territory and marketing lead segment.
CRM Account Filter is defined on the accounts and account-related objects such as the opportunities and the account owner. It contains all the CRM attributes from the account like account name, account type, address, and so on. You can also filter based on the related opportunities and account owners. For example, if you want to get the account where the opportunity stage is open, you can filter it by opportunity stage. You can also filter the accounts based on account owner by selecting attributes in the Account Owner section.
Though it is an account filter, the results of applying the filter in the routing depend on the object to which the filter is applied. For example, if you apply the account filter on the lead object for the lead routing then the search will return all the leads that are associated with the account defined in the account filter. Similarly, if you apply the account filter on contact objects then the search will return all the contacts that are associated with the account defined in the account filter.
However, if you want to route accounts, then it will filter out accounts that are defined in the account filter. Account filter will return the objects that are managed in the routing and territory section of it.
